The highly specialist spray-painting business of J. Hambleton Ltd was founded by its current Managing Director John Hambleton in 1970.

From relatively humble beginnings in Stockport, the company moved to Droylsden, East Manchester, to be closer to its customer base in the industrial headland of Manchester.

In 1977 a limited company was formed and plans were laid for the building of a new custom-designed factory, which opened in 1980 in Market Street, Droylsden.

In the 33 years since its inception the company has developed a reputation for its relentless pursuit of quality, its versatility and a willingness to take on almost any spray-painting challenge, regardless of its size of the task.

The Company's name as a true specialist has been enhanced by the unstinting commitment to total quality and the continuity hands-on management style of the founder.
